L1b - H1b conversion

Hi,

I'm on L1B Visa with company A and my 3 yrs getting over in Dec 2017.
My I-94 is getting over in Jan 2018
My Spouse who is working on L2 EAD has her Visa,I94 and EAD expiring on Dec 2017.
I'm applying for L1B Visa extension through company A also i'm applying H1B Visa through company B.
I have the following queries to clarify
1. If my L1B rejection comes after H1B approval - What status will be valid
2. If my L1B approval comes after H1B approval - What status will be valid
3. If my H1B rejection comes after L1B approval - What status will be valid
4. If my H1B approval comes after L1B approval - What status will be valid
5. If i get my H1B approved, do i need to go out of the country to start working from Oct 1st 2017 on H1B status
6. Will my spouse be able to continue in L2 EAD in any of these cases
7. Is it possible to convert my spouse L2 EAD to H4 EAD

Is H1 being filed as COS? Is it being filed in premium? Is L1 extension being applied in Premium? When is L1 extension being applied?
