  • Green Card Processing for L2 not in the US

    Hi -

I am currently in discussions with my employer of sponsoring my GC (from L1A). I have a couple of questions I hope to get some insight on:

    A. Does my wife need to be in the US when the GCs are being processed? She is currently an L2 holder but we decided for her to stay in my home country. She has never been to the US.
    B. How long does it usually take to get GC for L1A? L2?
    C. I found out a couple of days ago that my wife is pregnant. Will this have any impact on GC processing? I found out that vaccinations are required for GC processing which I know might not be recommended for pregnant women. Cause for delay?

    Such a complicated wonderful life

Appreciate all the comments. This will be very helpful in my decision making.

    Thanks.

Under what category are they filing your GC and also what is your country of birth? This will determine roughly how long it will take for you to get your GC.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
