L1 Blanket Approval or Rejection will be on the spot?

Is it that we will always come to know approval or rejection of L1 Blanket visa on the spot? In What scenario I may not come to know on the visa appointment day? I have to make an important decision based on my visa status immediately next day of visa appointment.

In most cases, you get to know at that time only. They return your passport if visa is not granted.

In very specific scenarios, they ask to provide some document(if missing or they need) and asks to submit them with passport. Then, It may take time but it may not be rejection.

This is my personal opinion based on a situation with colleague.
