Challenging situation: L1 extension + L2 and EAD extension

I am in a challenging situation, and really need help from some of the experienced folks on this community.

Situation: I am on an L1A visa, and my company is filing an extension for my visa that is expiring in May 2017. My wife is on an L2 visa + EAD which is obviously tied to my expiration date.

Question: What can I do to ensure that she doesn't get impacted as a result:
* Can we use my L1 extension request as evidence to request L2 extension?
* Can we apply for EAD simultaneously?
... or is all of this dependent on my L1 extension coming through...?

I am very worried, and not sure where to turn for guidance and support. Really need help and urgent answers from the community here to guide me what to do.

Yes you can apply for her EAD extension simultaneously with your L1 extension.

Yes its same situation for all l1 and l2.
suggestion-
1.Fill up l1 and l2 extension together so you both get approval at same time ( hopefully )
2. Try to convert your L1 extension processing to premium .( its not mandatory that l2 will also be converted to premium - there is no premium processing for dependents.)
3. U can apply EAD simultaneously - But this requires updated I-94 so its not advisable to apply before extension.

Yes you can apply for her EAD extension simultaneously with your L1 extension.

EAD application requires L1 and l2 visa copy , L 1 petition and l1,l2 updated I-94 . Can we send these updated documents after EAD application ??

Without these documents what will be the success rate for L2 EAD approval ??

I am in a similar situation. My L1A expires in June 2017 and I have been asked to go to the India consulate to get my visa renewed. I was told by my lawyers that once I get my visa renewed, my wife can get her L2 renewed staying in the US itself. Do you have a GC filed as well and have you been advised to go to the consulate or doing it visa USCIS?

No GC filed yet . Got L1a extension in US itself - Company did not told us to go to any consulate. L2 extension is pending yet though .
