  • PED expiring: should we get a new stamp for my spouse and misc questions

    Hello

My visa stamp expiry date is 10/12/20.
    My PED is 7/7/17 – I-129S
    The Blanket L expiry date is 7/7/17 – I-797
My spouse and children have a L2 with the same dates.
My spouse EAD expires on 7/7/17.

I understand (from lawyer via HR) that I need to get a new visa stamp with a new PED of 12/15/17 (seems like that is the new Blanket L date).

a/ what is the expected duration of this extension process this year? And considering I travel a lot abroad: is it OK to travel during the extension process?
b/ I understand that I need to go to the embassy in my nationality country to get the new visa stamp - is this correct?
c/ do my spouse and children have to go through the same visa renewal process at the same time or will they be able to travel from abroad back to US with current visa if they show I-129S and Blanket L printed papers? Considering that we want no gap in between the current EAD and the next one.
d/ If they have to go through the same process do they have to travel to the embassy as well?
e/ any other important matter to consider?

    Thanks for your help
