Converting from L1 B to H4?
Currently I am working for a company on L1B visa, as per the company policy I have to return in May 2017 though my Visa is valid until 2018. I wanted to convert my L1B to H4 (Dependent to my spouse who has valid H1).
I was told a receipt will be provided and I can stay on the receipt until my H4 gets approved
1. What is the right time to apply for change of status from L1 to H4, considering my return in May 2017?
2. How many weeks would it take to receive the receipt after Change of Status request?
3. If I apply for change of request in the month of Apr and I receive my receipt in a week, can I still work on L1B? If so until when I can work on L1B?
4. What is the Avg time to get the H4 approved?
5. How many weeks/Months the receipt is valid for?
