L1 petition, to include dependents--Pl. help

I have applied for L1 petition, while applying for petition i have not included my spouse as i have not included him in my passport. Now i have got my petition approved and due for stamping in two months time. It is safe to include my spouse name in the passport before stamping. I know i cannot get a dependent visa for him for now. But can i include his name in passport.
