Hi All,
I am currently working with L1B visa and have lost my job , due to company acquisition ( March 31st,2017 is my last working ) . I found another employer who is willing to file for fresh H1B / COS L1-H1B ( April 31st,2017) . I believe , I have a grace period of some 10 days to find for new employer. It would be helpful , if some one can clarify my below questions.
- How many days is my grace period to find new employer for L1B visa holders when become out of status ?
- Can I continue working with H1B receipt date ?
- How long will it take to get a H1b receipt date from USCIS ?
- Can the new employer file my H1B COS by now , means ....before April 3rd H1B filing start date ?
- I have my L1B Visa valid till jan 2020 and must be extended by Jan 2018 ( after 3 yrs)
- My kids are studying and i am trying to find out of different options to stay here.
Please guide me some pointers.
