L2 EAD for Spuse in India

Hi,
I am working in the USA on an L1B visa. My wife has visited me couple of times here and has an SSN. She is currently in India and we wish to apply for an EAD for her.
Is it possible for me to :

1. Apply EAD for her when she is not physically present in USA ? Her latest I-94 will show departed details.

2. Apply the EAD for her on her behalf ? (I-765 Form filled by me and the Applicant's Signature Unsigned and only the Preparer's signature in place).

Please provide your opinion on the same

No, you cannot, she needs to be present in US.
