H1/l1

hi all,

My query is:

I have applied for H1 in the current years quota which just opened on 01-Apr-2006. This i have applied from some body shopper and not through my current employer.
However now my current employer is asking me if i can travel to US on L1 due to some immidiate req.

I wanted to know if now i file for an L1 through my current employer will it be a problem. Will it effect my H1 application?

As far I know and heard from this forum, it should not be a problem.

Since we can apply for multippe H1, at same time , H1 and L1 also should be fine. Please confirm with your consultant.

I do not wjhat happens if any of them gets rejected. Will it affect other approval. ?

(If your H1 gets rejected, will it affect status of L1 )

L1 Vs H1

As far as I know your L1 deems to be cancelled if your H1 is approved. I am looking for the answer for the same question. If this information is not correct..Pls anyone provide the same...Regds.

Hi,

One person can apply multiple applications,but can attend to Consulate only with one apporval.....

If your company is applying for L1,It will not effect to H1 application...Before going head think over, on L1 you can work only with one employer(i.e your petitoner),but with H1 you can work with mulit clients companies....I wish you all the best....

H1 and L1

I think the answer still not reached for the queries:

1) If we apply for H1-B processing in 2006 quota. from outside consulting company...but before getting approval if the present company looks for L1 processing for the candidate. If H1 is approved after L1 stamping done...will that L1 be still valid. Can the candidate go and work and L1 first and then use the approved H1 and shift the company.

2) will the answer change if the H1 approval comes much before going for L1 stamping?? can the candidate still go for L1 stamping and later on after working for L1 ..go to H1 stamping and shift??

L1 and H1 (multiple H1,)can have approval at same time, but when one get stamped other get invalidated.

L1 will be valid till you change status or get H1 visa done on passport.

Its possible to apply for COS after reaching US on L1. I do not know how feasible (easy) it is. Anybody has any experience.
