Travel on L1 (H1 to be approved)

I'm now working on L1 B visa, applied for H1 this year. Mine was picked in lottery, I heard mostly the approvals can happen any time before October.
I have travel plans to my home country (India) for a month between August - September. If I get approval for H1 before my return to US, will there be any problems at POE?
I want to travel back with my L1B instead of going for H1B stamping. Please suggest.

If your H1B was filed as COS, then you will automatically convert to H1 on the beginning date mentioned on your petition. If it is filed for consular processing, you can enter on L1, but will have to file for COS in order to activate H1.
