    Hi,
    A brief background.
    Spouse L1B Issue date : August 2011
    L1B Renewed : May 2014
    L1B changed to L1A : Feb 2016
    I-140 approval : Jan 2017 (EB1 category)
    L1A expiry : Feb 2018
    L2 EAD expiry : Feb 2018

    Spouse H1B lottery selected in 2018, effective date : Oct 2017
    H4 initiation date : Oct 2017

    My company (L2 EAD) also filed for my H1B in April 2017 but it was not selected. The attorney represented by my employer wants to know if I will be able to renew the L2 EAD in Aug/Sept 2017 (180 days before expiration).

    I want to understand what information do they have the right to know about? I do not wish to tell them about spouse's transfer to H1B and his greencard timelines. Since they are not involved with his filing of the either, can they ask for details? Can I just tell them yes, I would be renewing the EAD in Sept?
