  • Resigning on an L1 B visa

    Hello everyone!
First of all, thank you in advance for your help and comments.

    Situation:
    - I am in the USA on an L1 B visa
    - I have found a job opportunity in Europe, which I am considering to accept
    - I am aware that as soon as I resign and my notice period is over, my L1 B visa will expire (i.e., on my last day of work). However, I will most likely need 2-3 weeks to wrap everything up, pack my clothes and vacate my apartment.

    Questions:
    - Do you guys know if there is a grace period after the last day of work to allow people to wrap things up and leave?
    - If the grace period is not automatic, is there a way to obtain it by submitting additional paperwork (e.g., I-539)? If so, how long in advance does this paperwork need to be submitted?

Thank you in advance for your help!
