Hi all,
I'm a CEO of a small company. Established new office in the US, initial L1A petition went fine without any questions. Extension was denied on the basis that I don't have enough subordinate staff so they doubt I act in executive capacity.
I'm looking at my options now. One suggestion I got is to apply immediately for L1B. Since I'm the founder of the company and I grew the business abroad, I can claim I possess specialized/advanced knowledge to grow a Sales department here in the US.
Did anyone hear about L1Bs issued to people in management positions? Or about cases where L1B is attempted immediately after L1A denial?
If I apply for L1B and get denied, how badly would that hurt my chances for a later reattempt for L1A?
Any considerations are welcome. Thanks!
Igor
