L2 EAD with H1B COS pending

Hi All,

I am on L2 EAD expiring in Feb 2018. Currently my H1B COS is in pending status. L1 may travel out of US in August end 2017. My H1 is effective from Oct 1st 2017. Can I stay for couple of months until my COS is approved and stay back here?

I dont think so. As L1 is not in US maintaining L1 status, your L2 status also is not valid.

Thanks for the quick reply. Does my COS become invalid if its pending status when I travel out of US and what should be next steps if it become invalid?
