I have my Visa interview next month. Currently I am working in a Public Sector Bank. 4 years back i resigned from an IT company. I have mentioned the details in my DS 160 form. The fact that I switched from IT to bank hamper my chances at the interview?

Who filed your L1? The public sector bank? is it L1 A/L1B? Blanket or Individual?
