L1B visa expires, i-94 valid, Petition valid, need to travel to India

Hello All,

My L1B visa is expiring soon with the status as below


L1B Visa expires on August 11, 2017
I-94 expires on March 15, 2018
I-797 expires on March 15, 2018

My question is if I want to travel to India on September 1, 2017 or October 1, 2017, can I apply for L1B visa using the same I-797 in India?
Will it effect my L1B extension if I travel in that period (Assuming our company will file petition for extension on September 16, 2017)?
