  • L2 Extension (i539) receipt not received

    Hi,

My company filed for L2 extension for my wife and son on July 15,2017. We also concurrently filed for EAD extension (i765).
I have received my receipt number for EAD extension but not yet received the L2 extension receipt number.
I spoke to my company and they sent an email to USCIS but are still awaiting a response from USCIS.
Any idea how long do USCIS take to respond and resend the receipt?
Also is there anyway i can directly contact USCIS and ask for information?
But without the receipt number, I am not sure what to ask for.

    Anyone faced similar situation before?
Note: My dependent i94 is expiring in Nov 2017.

You can ask your employer to see whether the payment cheque submitted is cashed by USCIS. If so, then there are chances for you to get it.

In my case, I did not get my wife's receipt; but I directly got approval notice from USICS ten days after getting mine.

My employer is one of the big Indian IT companies and they are not very effective in this kind of tracking.
I had called USCIS yesterday and the Tier 2 officer said that only the company representative can contact them for more information as extension has been filed by the company and not me.
So looks like i need to follow-up with my company itself.
In such cases where we have not received the receipt, can we (or company) request for USCIS to send a duplicate receipt copy?
Going by the current timelines in Vermont, i do not anticipate that we will receive the extension until early (Feb) 2018.
By that time, her i94 will have expired and it may lead to further complications.

      Any suggestions will be appreciated

What is the status of your extension? Is it L1A or L1B? Individual or Blanket? All of that will decide dependent extension as well. I don't think L2 EAD extension will go through until both of your approval is ready.

USCIS suppose to send receipt within one month. In case of no receipt, person who filed your petition can contact USCIS to know the details / status of the receipt.
