L1 Expiration date earlier than PED expiration date

Hi experts.

I have a L1 visa that expires on 28 JAN 2018 according to the stamp in my passport. The PED expiration date is 06 DEC 2018 and my I-94 is the same as my PED expiration date.
I have plans to go to my home country for Christmas and back to US on Jan 20th.

Do you think I'll have problems to enter e continue working ?

I'm supposed to request an extension of my L1 visa even with the PED valid ?
