US L2 Visa Application for Spouse whose B1/B2 visa was withdrawn previously

Hi,

My wife is filling in DS 160 form for a L2 visa application for our upcoming travel planned to the US (we are Indian citizens). She had been granted a B1/B2 visa to the US in April 2004 for travelling to the US for business trainings from her previous organization. However, her visa was cancelled at Detroit and text appearing on her visa was 'CANCELLED - DET APPLICATION WITHDRAWN'. She was travelling with a group of 15 individuals and visa for all group members was withdrawn and they were sent back to home country the same day. In the DS 160 form, she has selected US visa granted previously as yes and withdrawn/refused as yes. however, she was not explained/does not recall the exact reason why Group's visa had been withdrawn. What would be ideal to quote in the reasons section on DS160 and visa interview (if asked) about this?

If I had to harbor a guess, her group was found inadmissible to the United States because they were not in possession of the appropriate travel documents (in this case, a visa for entry for training purposes). They were each interviewed in secondary inspection, and given an opportunity to voluntarily withdraw their application for admission in lieu of expedited removal. She can confirm these facts by referencing the transcript of that interview (Form I-877) and application to withdraw admission (Form I-275) that were furnished to her when she was shown the door. If she has since lost that paperwork, she can request copies from CBP under the Freedom of Information Act. Her colleagues from back then may have their paperwork more easily available

Assuming she was entirely truthful at the port of entry, that event in 2004 should not affect her application for an L-2 visa today.
