Leave US for 2 weeks when L2 EAD renew pending

Hi

I have a question as the L2 EAD renew

I am with L1 and my wife is with L2. My wife's EAD expires on 8/30/2018 and her I94 is valid until 2019 sept.
But, our L1/L2 visa expired in the Feb.
Now she is planning to submit the renewal application.

I can understand that renewal is OK with the valid I94. So I can submit the renewal now.

But we plan a travel outside U.S for 2 weeks in Apr. and get our L1/L2 visa renewed at oversea consular post.

Can I have the travel?
