L2 Visa extension after L1 has been stamped, from outside the US.

I am confused as to what is the procedure to follow.
My L2 visa is valid upto May 25, 2018. My current i-94 is valid till April 14, 2018.
My husband just got his L1 visa extension stamped for another two years and now the attorneys have filed i539 form for extension of stay for my son and me. In the menawhile, our AOS has been filed, biometrics done; but we havent yet applied for Advance Parole.
We have a family emergency in India, for which it is imperative for me to travel with my son by 1st April, but without my husband.
1. In this case, will my re-entry in the US be affected, if I return by May 20?
2. Can I apply for visa stamping in India? What will the procedure be? Similar to filing initial L2 , but with interview waiver? what will be the documents required?
3. Is the i539 filing going to be helpful towards visa renewal?
4. Will travel at this point affect AOS process or issue of EAD though it?

I am unable to get a clear answer at all websites i have seen so far. Kindly advise asap, as it is very time sensitive. Your advice is highly appreciated.

AOS will be gone, but after visa & re-entry, you'll have new I94.
