Just wanted to get some advise on L1A Extension, if I-485 is pending with approved EAD, is it advisable to go for an L1A extension or a new L1A blanket from Canada?

You don't really need to extend the L-1A if you have an EAD and AP, unless there is something wrong with the underlying I-485 - like fraud or misrepresentation involved or you have something in your history that makes you inadmissible to the U.S. Assuming everything is fine with your I-485, there's nothing wrong with trying to extend the L-1A, either through USCIS or by applying abroad on the blanket. Doing so won't affect the pending I-485. The I-485 and L-1 are considered separate processes that are independent of one another.
