Earlier appointment date for L1b (blanket) ?

Hi,

I am in the process of getting L-1B (blanket) appointment in Chennai, US consulate from VFS site. I see the dates in Nov'2006 available. I booked one of the dates hoping that I'll get any earlier date by rescheduling it later-on. But I came to know that I can only Postpone my appointment by "rescheduling" it. Preponement is possible only by cancelling/deleting and then recreating the application. Is it right (this was told me to be by Chennai US consulate helpline service)??

Now whenever I see earlier date (which is max 2 times in 1 day), I try to recreate my application. But it takes me atleast 5-10 mins to do it, meanwhile that date disappear (some one else would have got it). I have been trying this for last 10 days without any success.

Can someone help me or share his/her experience in this regard ?
Or is there anyother easier way to get an earlier appointment ?

early appointment date

hi,
iam also trying to get earlier date.its giving november.some times i have seen dates in earlier months.but when i was opening page (already filled ds 156,ds157,petition details)and clicking continue then its asking passport delivery address selection then after that dates are available only in november.but in earlier available page is showing earlier month date.
how to get earlier date.is we have to again fill the forms at the time when i found in earlier month date.pls anybody who tried for the earlier dates and got it tell me how to do.

hi bunny,

i got an earlier date (for L1) in the same manner as you are following..but i had to try many times to get it done.
but but i am facing exactly same issue when i try to get appointment for my wife (L-2 visa).... there seems to be some problem for dependent visa appointments.... which visa you are trying to get an appointment for?
