L1 A Visa and I-94

Hi,

I have L1 A Visa where petition is approved for indefinite time. My Visa is expiring in August 2018end but my I-94 is valid until 2020.
My question is can I stay and work on I-94 or I need to go India for re stamping.

Also is drop box facility available for L1 B?

You can stay and work in US as long as your I-94 is valid and in the same status.

My apologies, didn't read your question correctly.

So Visa is only for your "entry" into USA - you can continue to stay in USA without a valid visa.
I94 determines your date of exiting from USA - you cannot stay after the I94 date of expiry.
Petition defines your ability to work - you cannot work & get paid without an valid petition.

Since your visa is expired, but you are already inside USA - no need to worry.
Since your I94 is valid till 2020 - no need to worry, either leave the country or submit renewal application before 2020
Since your petition is approved indefinitely - no need to worry.

To answer your question.

Since your I94 is till Dec 2020 - you can stay inside USA till that time.
However since your petition is ending Dec 2018, you'll need to get it renewed to continue working & get paid.
