  • L1-B Extension in Canada for Canadian Permanent Residency Holders

    Hello Friends,

I am currently working in USA on L1-B Visa. I applied for Canadian PR and got it approved 1 month back. Also got my one-time VISA stamped.
I am planning to go for my L1-B extension in July to Canada with the one-time VISA that I have currently. So I wanted to complete my landing formalities and also go for the L1-B visa extension interview. I wanted to continue to work for 2 more years in US before finally moving to Canada.
I urgently need some guidance if there will be any risks in doing both the landing formalities and L1-B visa extension in the same trip. What are the chances of getting rejected for L1-B extension. And if in any case this can affect my Canadian PR.
Looking forward for some responses. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Should not be a problem. L1B will not be rejected - because you are applying from Canada. However if VO is not able to clearly understand your documents (written in your local language) - he might ask you to go to your home country.

On the other hand, Canadian PR & L1B are not linked together & won't impact each other.
