L1 Visa query

I am currently residing in US on L2 EAD Visa but working from home with an Indian company on Indian Payroll from last 6 months. My salary comes in Indian Bank in Indian currency.

My employer will open a new office after an year in US and wants me to join in US, Is there a provision that he can file my L1 Visa with a situation that i am already staying in US but working for India.

Your Visa is unlikely to get approved, but you and your company can try, but regardless you can work on L2 EAD
