L2 EAD help!

Hi All, Thanks for sharing all your valuable information and experience.
I need your advice/suggestion for the following query.

I am working in L1B visa. My finance is working in India. After marriage we will apply L2 visa for her, followed by EAD.

Query: Considering current EAD processing time, my finance is willing to continue her job in India until she gets EAD.
Is it possible to apply EAD and go back to India to continue her job? is there a way?
Any one experienced similar situation?

Or any other ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hi There, that is not possible, person has to be in US in order to process EAD, she will have to spend 4-5 months in US without job while waiting for EAD.

Not necessarily.

A colleague of mine on L1 had her spouse come to the US on L2, file the L2 EAD/SSN and left the US while the EAD process took its due course. It was approved while he was outside the US. So it is possible for an L2 visa holder to file an EAD and leave the US.

Is it recommended, the answer is NO.
