L2 Visa - Info needed

Hi All,

My husband just got L1B visa stamped recently and now I need to apply for L2 visa. I have recently completed PHD from India's one of top3 institute and got provisional degree certificate in Apr 2018. Final degree will be provided in convocation after 3-4 months.

So in DS 160 form, I need to mention PhD as Highest qualification or my masters ?

Also I am not working after PhD, so kindly help regrading possible questions as eg: "Why you dont want to work in USA after PhD?" or "Will you work or apply EAD in US?"

As of now I dont have any plans to work in USA.

Since the results are declared & you have provisional degree with you - feel free to mention your qualification as PhD.

If you are not planning to work in USA, mention the same during interview. You can say that right now you do not have any plans - you want to support your family first & then will think later about working.
