L1A Status continue even if H1b approved

Hi,

I have one a question regarding my L1A visa. My L1A is valid till Oct 2018 and i have got my name in H1 lottery but just now got RFE in H1b.

So i need help to clear my doubts on below queries:

1. if i file my L1A extension then if L1A ext is approved then later H1B is also approved. Then which status will be considered and H1B was not filed as Change of status.
2. Is it possible to continue with L1A only? If yes then do i need to do anything for H1b
3. Is it ok to file extension as H1B processing is also in-progress so wanted to confirm this also?

Until you file COS, you'll be on the same status you used at the POE, when you entered USA.

Nothing need to be done, keep the approved H1 petition with you - just in case if in future you would like to switch.

3. Is it ok to file extension as H1B processing is also in-progress so wanted to confirm this also?

Yes, one can hold any number of non-immigrant visas/petition together.

Does it matter if i opt Technical Role on H1B though i am already working on Managerial role on L1A?

I mean having petition for both Technical & Non-Technical Role.

Yes. It does not matter if your job descriptions for the two petitions are different.

Yes, you can switch jobs from different fields - as long as you are satisfying basic requirement of the visa & you've a valid job in your hand.

Can you please share the RFE details? I too am on L1A and my 7th year ends in August 2019. I got picked up in H1b lottery and am waiting for approval. Need to know what might be asked in RFE for such cases.
