Hello ,

My L1B visa was pushed back with by giving a blue 221(G) form .reason "Your Blanket L-1 application is not clearly approvable under section 8 CFR 214.2 (I) (ii) (B),(C) or (D) or INA 101(a),(15) (L). "
I understood it was kind of "soft refusal" but Visa Application tracker shows as "Administrative processing" . So i would like to know if there are Any chances of positive reply ? I'm stuck at this point . Please let me know if there are any successful stories in such cases.

That's correct, Blue form 221(G) is a soft refusal of visa - VO must have returned your passport back to you. Online systems with consulates are not really on-line.

Apply for the same visa with individual petition.

I received 221 G letter for my L1A blanket visa on 12th Feb'19 at Chennai consulate (your blanket l-1 application is not clearly approvable under section 8 CFR 214.2 (I)(ii)(B), (C), or (D), or INA 101(a) (15)(L)). The documents were in place and the questions were also fact based and were answered correctly. However the VO's response was confusing - "I think that there is no such requirement.... this is a restricted visa category". I'm a senior IT manager in a large MNC so not very sure what triggered this decision from the VO. USCIS site shows that the visa is under administrative processing.

Is there any cool off period for filing a fresh L1A individual visa or can the application process be initiated immediately?
