Switching a Job after I140 approval?--Request Suggestions Please!!

Hi All,

I am on a L1-B currently and am looking for options to switch my job. Possible options i could think are:
1. COS for H-1 from the same company and switch after H-1 gets approved.
2. Apply H-1 from a different company and switch companies after H-1 gets approved for the new offer--- I am not sure if this works as i read somewhere that one cannot apply H-1 from other company while already in the US on L-1??
3. Apply GC while on L-1 get my I140 approved and switch job after I140 is approved---- Is this a possibility?

Please suggest above also kindly add if you think of any other options.

Option #3 is the best bet for you. But option #1 & 2 both are doable.

Thank you for your kind suggestion. Even though i am on L-1 B, can i switch jobs after my I-140 gets approved? Please shed some light on this topic.

Either 1 or 2 are the options available to you. You can do 1 or 2 after getting your I140 approved too, but option 3 as you stated is not feasible.
