  • Multiple previous VISA information in DS 160

    Hi all,

    Here is the situation:

    - I held an L1B visa from 2011 to 2014 for company ABC. In that period I stayed in US for 2.5 years. Relocated back to India in 2014.
    - I also have valid B1 visa, on which I traveled to US in Oct 2015 for 5 days.

Now I'm in another company XYZ and it is filing my L1 visa. Petition got approved, so I'm filling my DS 160.

While filing, it is asking me if I had any previous US visa. I added info regarding my current valid B1 visa, but there is no option to add details about my previous L1B visa.

But, in section of "Enter details of last 5 trips to US" - I've to enter all my trips to US which I made on my L1 visa (and stayed for 2 years etc.). Will that be a problem? VO may think that I stayed in US for 2 years on B1 visa (which is illegal).

I'm a bit confused. Appreciate if any one can help/guide.

Embassy keep better record of your visits to USA. So don't worry, they know much better.

Just provide information of your current valid visa - i.e. B1 & provide details for your visits (including L1) in the required section.
