  • L1A location change

I have approved L1A blanket petition through my current employer with work location as New Jersey. I am scheduled to move US next month however now my employer want me to go to Texas instead of New Jersey. Will there be any problem in POE as I have approved location NJ and not TX ? Do I need to do an amendment for this location change before my travel ? Please advise.

Doesn't matter, as long as you'll be within USA.

I had a similar situation. I had my L1B for florida location but my company wanted me to travel to michigan city. So, I did travel to michigan city and fortunately I did not face any problem at POE. Don't know, if I was lucky the officer did not ask me any question on location or the location doesn't matter. Also, my company visa team had warned me about the different location other than approved and it was left to my decision to travel on my own risk. To conclude, I suggest you can travel since it is L1 (intracompany transfer) and I hope it shouldn't be a problem. All the best.

      -Just my opinion.
