L2 EAD renewal - will it be 2 yrs period for below scenario ?

Spouse on L2 EAD which expires in Mar 15,19. Her L2 expires in July 31'19 (alongwith my L1) ,I read that EAD applications are taking lot of time, so better to apply asap and hence was planning to do that.
Employer will start processing extension only in Jan / Feb'19 and if we wait till then, then there is a high probability that her EAD extension will not be approved by the expiry of her current EAD.

So basically while applying for wife's EAD renewal, all docs (I94 , visa copy) show end date as July 31'19.

In this scenario, will they renew her EAD only till July'19 or for 2 yrs from current expiry date of Mar 15'19 ? Its $410 for every renewal alongwith sending documents etc, so wanted to check on the same .

Appreciate guidance.

Apply for your L1 extension, her L2 extension & EAD renewal at the same time - you'll get all response together.

So the L1 expires in July end, so my company will not start preparing and reviewing docs before Feb. Then preparation and submission time brings it to March and high probability of not receiving EAD approval before end of current EAD.

In this case, is it recommended that I just fork out the $410 now to get the current EAD extended till July to be on safer side?
