  • L2 stamping in Canada for a the first time after cos from H1B to L2

We are planning to visit Canada. I had my change of status done from H1B to L2 which was approved in feb 2018.

My husband has his L1 visa stamped till 2020.

Since my H1B visa is expired then will Vancouver US consulate allow to get my L2 stamped for the first time after change of status being an Indian citizen?

Is it safe to do this way ? If anyone have gone through this and how many days would be take to get the passport back.

Since it is an L2 visa you'll be requesting for - I would suggest you to go ahead.

Had it been an L1 or H1 visa, I would have suggested to go to India.
