  • L1A Blanket Rejetced

    Hi,

I had my L1A Blanket Visa Interview today and got rejected. But while doing this VO cancelled my valid B1/B2 visa (Cancelled Without Prejudices).
I visited 4 times in last 7 months on business visa. He asked me if I were in US for 6 months, I said no, I visited 4 times in last 6 month but still he stamped Cancelled without prejudices.

My company is now arranging for L1A individual. What are the chances of its approval and Will this cancellation impact on my future applications?

    Thanks.

Did he asked anything about that B1 visa during the interview? Did your B1 was issued for a different organization?

Cancelled without prejudices is still good - he thought you do not need that visa anymore - specially if you got that visa for a purpose which is accomplished (like attending a conference etc).

L1A Individual is the only option you are left with & you still have high chances to get that visa.

Blanket visas are anyhow dicey now a days.

He asked "why did you travel so frequently to US"? And said "you were there for 6 months" to which I said "No.. for some period i was in India and for some period in US.. i was not in US at length for 6 months"

He also mentioned "Blanket visa are for very limited purpose".

Go ahead with Individual petition - you'll most probably get the visa.
