L1 stamping after I129 approval

Hi All

My company applied for my L1 Individual petition in February 2018 and I received an RFE in June. Finally I received approval notice this month. I am waiting for my I797 hard copy to be delivered to me so I can appear for stamping. I have couple of questions

1. Do I need my I797 hard copy to appear for VISA interview?
2. What are the odds of my VISA not getting stamped after my L1 Individual is approved?

This is the first time I am applying for VISA, hence the concern

Yes - the "original" I797. Photocopy, scanned copy etc won't work.

2. What are the odds of my VISA not getting stamped after my L1 Individual is approved?

An visa interview for an approved Petition is merely a formality - go ahead.
