L2 Visa in Administrative processing- Kolkata

Hi ,

I had L2 visa interview on 2nd Nov,2018 at Kolkata consulate. My husband is having stamped L1 A as on 5th Oct at Chennei consulate.
Myself and my son's visa interview was scheduled on 2nd nov. After the interview went smoothly consulate officer said your visa will be there for further processing. You will receive an sms shortly.
But after 6 days over my status is showing 'Administrative processing' where as My son's passport is being issued after three days.

Any idea how much time it would take since any slip is not given after the interview or any documents is being asked for.

Anybody is having same status can share their experience and update please?

Your visa is almost approved - just that they are doing some background check / verification.

It can take from few days to few months, only the local consulate can give you the updates - try to reach them over phone or email.
