Payment of Fraud Prevention Fee using cash or card

Hi All,

I am looking for help from folks who have already appeared for L1 blanket interview.

As per the Chennai consulate website, we can pay Fraud Prevention fee of $500 using DD/cash/card. However few posts from 2017 talk of Chennai consulate accepting only DDs.

Can anyone who has recently gone through L1 Blanket interview confirm please? I have interview in next week and hence in hurry.

Want to post an update...

I checked with consulate helpline and they told me that I can pay FPD fee by cash/ card. I went with that and today I was able to pay my FPD using Visa credit card. I could also see a cash counting machine and cash received.

So we have options other than DD and can save on DD fees and hassles.
