L1A Visa Appointment Dates

Folks,
I am trying to book an appointment for interview, and the site says the next the "First Available Appointment Is Monday January 14, 2019".

I have been looking at appointment dates from last 4-5 days and first available appointment date is varying between 6th, 10th and 11th.

Is this 1 month gap due to Christmas holidays, or are those dates really full, or just a bug?

It is because of both Christmas holidays (major festival for USA) as well as they are really full to process H1B visas (remember almost all H1s are processed in this timeframe only).

Can anyone guide me on the Appointment dates in Ottawa / Toronto / Vancouver locations for the month of Feb'19?
My L1A Blanket expires on Feb 25th and trying to book an appointment in the above said locations, but the latest I could find as shown below. Do you think any slots will get open for early Feb?

Ottawa 8 March, 2019
Toronto 7 May, 2019
Vancouver 16 April, 2019
