  • L1B to EB3

Question....I currently hold an L1B for a Canadian/American IT/Finance company. I'm interesting in moving to the US full time and obtaining PR status and am wondering if the easiest path may be EB3. I do not have a bachelor's degree so EB2 and H1B are out of the question at the moment. I do have approximately 15 years of experience in my field. My role requires very specific knowledge of our own software, and it's very unlikely that anyone in the US would have these skills so the PERM process should go OK.

I realize I can move there now on my L1B, which I do plan to do soon. I'm mainly curious as to what the success rate is for an EB3 petition for a software services consultant type role. I noticed that EB3 dates are current for Canada, so the wait time should be minimal other than the processing time. I finished about 1/2-3/4 of my degree so I could go back and finish it if it would be a much better chance of success with EB2 or H1B (Although from what I understand H1B is lottery based, and I'd prefer not to take the chance.)

    Thanks in advance

There are millions of software services consultants available across USA, hence this job doesn't qualify for EB3.
