I-94 with same admission number after extension/Amendment

Recently i have filed for amendment for L1B individual visa and i got new I-797B notice with I-94 attached to it. My question is i got the same I-94 number (Admission number) which i got while entering in to USA for the first time in 2016. That time they have given I-94 till January 2019. Now when i re-enter in to USA do i need to show the new approved I-797B to the officer in port of entry as it has valid I-94 till 2020 August.

is everyone will get same I-94 number after extension? I thought for every visit we will get a new I-94. Please reply.

No, not all time you get a new I94 number. At times it remains same - so you are fine. Just verify online for your I94 dates.
