L1A - Next Steps and guidance required

Hi,

I am in L1A for last 2.5 years.I need your guidance for the next steps to plan my carrier

1) I am in L1A Blanket visa, my extension is coming on Feb'19.My question here, some of the L1A folks are getting 3 years extension ,and other folks are 2 years.Is the company is decided about the number of years extension?

2) Applying extesion in L1A individual is 2 years and L1A Blanket is 3 years? (Is the way it works?)

3) If my company applied for GC, how long it will take to get I140?

4)Can i change the company in I140 ?(in case of , if my company force me to go to india)

5) If i cant able to change the company in I140?, in which status can i change?

6) What is waiting period for getting GC for current L1A situvation?

7) To be on safer side, if i apply H1B with different company.In case if it got picked, is it will impact my current L1A or if my company apply GC Process ?

As i need to decide as the new H1B the company started collecting the documents.

Your company does provide petition start & end date - but at last the decision for extension is in USCIS's hand.

No, its 2 years always for extension. Initial petition can be for 3 years.

3) If my company applied for GC, how long it will take to get I140?

If you apply now, it will easily take 18+ months to get your GC in your hand. Though timeline can change anytime.

4)Can i change the company in I140 ?(in case of , if my company force me to go to india)

You can change after I140 approval, but not before that.

5) If i cant able to change the company in I140?, in which status can i change?

No, one can apply & hold multiple non-immigrant visas.
