  • I-94 expiring before Visa and so my EAd

    Hi
my i-94 has date for 06/2019
and that's why my e.a.d is valid till 6/2019
but my spous's I-129s is valid till 2021.

How should I do renewal of my e.a.d, do we need to first update i-94 then EAD ?

I guess you are L2 & working on your EAD?

What are the dates on your spouse visa & I94. Seems like you got EAD expiry dates matching with your I94. if your spouse I94 is also expiring the same date, you all need to either renew your petition or I94 & then your EAD.

Hi Thanks for helping me out.

I got the EAD as per my husband's i-94 (since his passport is expiring on 06/2019 and visa expiring on 08/2021)

Although my passport is expiring earlier than my husband's. So we both need to travel and extend the i-94 before it expires?

Yes, first get your passports renewed (you can do that in USA itself), then I94 & then EAD. No need to travel for this purpose.

          Thanks for the reply.
So is it true that I can directly go to CBP and show them the documents for i-94 renewal.
And thanks again for clearing that up for me.

No, you'll need to file extension of stay or simply visit Canada/Mexico etc.
