  • L1-B Bench payment

    Hi, please help!

I have a L1-B visa and bench is coming.

Will my employer pay me on bench?
And if he is reject to pay, what should I do?

Thats between you & your employer. Only one of you can answer this.

Legally, he should pay you for the whole time you are on visa from his company, but on the cheaper side he can easily pay for your one-way ticket back to your home country.

You can file a complaint to USCIS, but then you'll loose your visa/petition as well.

I found that for H1B it's illegal to no pay.

But what about L1-b? Are rules the same?

Yes. Not all rules are same for L1 & H1, but this one.

So, to be clear, employer is responsible to pay me until he buy back tickets or terminate contract?
Also, must he pay me if he terminate contract? For example double salary or something like this.

Thats based on your company's rules - nothing legal here.

The thread is old... I would recommend you consult a lawyer. We all know that there have been changes made to most aspects of immigration... H1 visas were part of the changes.... So go get legal advice. consults can be free
Just my opinion... Use at your own risk...
