  • Request for a solution for L2(Dependant Child) visa

    Hi Friends,

Currently am having L1B visa and working in US in well known organization(software field). I want to bring my child overhere. But my organization's travel dept was saying that for my daughter visa stamping either child's mother or father has to go back to India for her visa stamping. Is this a new rule??

Can i bring my child thru my parents. Coz am planning to apply visit visas for them.

Kindly suggest me the possible solution. Me and my husband both are working in the same organization and both's project are in critical stage. We are in primary production support. Client may not be provide leave to go back to India for her stamping.

So pls suggest me what needs to be done.

    Thank you,
    Hima.

Thats not a decision of the organization but rather the consulate...........why not call the US consulate where the child is and ask what is the procedure?

Here is some information from Govt of Canada web site giving guidelines to canadian citizens about children travelling without parents.

Le guichet unique du gouvernement du Canada qui rassemble toute l'information concernant les voyages à l'étranger.

These guidelines vary from country to country and reason being concerns of child abductions.

You may also like to check with airlines what documents or additional information needed for issuing air tickets in such cases.

It is a must that one of the parents should be here to accompany the child. Your parents cannot accompany the child. If you cannot be here now, then do it when you are able to come here. Otherwise, your child will be given a 221(g) refusal and be suggested by the visa officers that he/she be accompanied by either one of the parent.
