I don't think congressman can help here. But you can give it a try.

          Hi Everyone,

Can you please assist me handling a situation I am in right now with my L1B visa extension. My already in US. My L1B visa expires on 5th march 2020 and I would be eligible to apply for extension anytime after 5th Sep 2019. My wife and I are expecting our first child and she is in her 5th month of pregnancy and by the time my company's attorney files petition for extension with USCIS(they can't file before 6 months from expiry), it would be like end of 6th month or in the 7th month of her pregnancy. In this case she is advised by doctor to not travel overseas or even Canada after September and we have a due date of DEC 28th. After child birth also, she won't be able to travel I guess for 1 month or so. In all scenarios, it looks difficult for her to travel with me for her L2 visa interview. Can someone please suggest the possible ways to get my L1 visa extension? Only way I know is travelling to a US consulate in Canada/Mexico/home_country for interview and get it stamped. Same for my wife for her L2. I understand I can get my L1 extension first and she can go for her L2 interview later, but that also would be difficult and I want to avoid that. Is there any other way I or she can avoid travel and get our L1/L2 visas while staying inside US(both together) or at least she can get it while staying inside US(after I get mine extended)? Would really appreciate your help, if you could suggest some ways. I really don't know what to do.

Well, you really do not need to leave USA to extend your petition & you do not need a new visa until you plan to leave USA & reenter.

Remember, Visa is merely for entry purpose in USA, once you are in USA - you only need a valid petition & I94 (not visa).

              Hi Experts,

My spouse L2 dependent extension status "Case Was Approved" whereas my L1 is still showing status as "Case Was Received"

Can anybody explain me what does it mean? Is it possible to get L2 case approved and L1 still shown as pending?

Hi Mostly the L1 visa is also approved, that's the reason ur L2 L2 dependent extension status "Case Was Approved". By the way when was ur extension filed? and is that L1 A or L1B and which service center? also is that Normal or Premium processing ?

Leave of absence or resign????? Please reply

I have only one question. Please reply.
My issue briefly: My husband is on L1 A blanket visa and I am on L2 visa.
                  I-94 expiry date:
                  Husband -03/20/2020
                  wife -12/19/2020
                  Husband I-129S / PED - 12/19/2020
                  EAD expired: 05/22/2019

My EAD expired in May 2019, I forgot to renew my EAD and worked for two months(i went through medical surgeries and it slipped our mind about renewal process). As soon as we released, I notified HR about this. My husband’s company is applying for L1/L2 renewal’s. We are applying our renewals outside the country as adviced by Attorney. Once we have our visa renewal, I will apply for EAD with new I-94.
My question: My company put me on Leave of absence until I resolve this issue. They stopped my payroll and my benefits.

Should I resign completely ? or is it ok if they put me on the leave of absence?

Will this affect GC application in the future(GC havent applied yet) Please reply. Regards
