  • L1B Visa Extension

I came to the US in 2017 with my L1B visa. My visa is expiring in Oct. 2020 but my i-94 (match with PED) expiring in April 2019. My company started the extension process but still not filed they may file in next week or so.

I just want to know if I stay after April 2019 will it be legal to stay as out of status? Because I heard some consequences for out of status (e.g USCIS may ban you for 3 year or 10 years) if you stay 3-4 months over and your extension denied. should I ask my employer to file premium process?

Also, my driving license expiration date match with my I-94.

    Please suggest!

You can work & stay for 240 days after your current I94 expiry awaiting response for your extension application. Remember you'll need to file your extension application before your I94 expiry.
