  • I-94 extension/correction or L-1B Petition extension

    Hello all,

I am L-1B blanket visa holder with I-94 expiring on 5/15/2019 and my visa is stamped till mid-June 2019.

I got this I94 when I came back from India on 02/22/2019, prior to this I94 date was 02/14/2021 but this time concerned office reduced it drastically saying my PED is 05/05/2019 so I94 date will be according to that.

I would like to extend my stay beyond I-94 expiry date and I have very less time left before I94 expires. I would like to know what could be my options.

    Here are some key facts:
    1. My L-1B visa is stamped till mid-June 2019.
    2. I-94 expiry is 28 August 2017.
    3. PED is 05/05/2019
    4. I797 is indefinitely valid as a blanket petition

Here are the options I'm aware of:
Option 1. L-1B Petition extension: Through this I believe can stay beyond my I94 expiry date.
Option 2. I-94 Correction: Visiting nearby CBP office.

Here are my questions on these:
    1. Are there any other options and which option is better, faster and less risky to take?
    2. Regarding option 2, will this work? Will they be able to give me extended I94?

Any advice in this regard will be very helpful. Thanks very much in advance.

Is it a typo for your I94 date?

You don't have that option to get your I94 corrected. It was a mistake initially giving you I94 till 2021 your petition is expiring in 2019 & hence your I94 also need to be same.
Just apply for L1B petition extension.

I believe what you're saying should hold good for L1B Individual, not L1B Blanket. But am also not sure.
